India vs West Indies 4th T20I Highlights:

Teams:

West Indies (Playing XI): Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran (c, wk), Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Oshane Smith, Akil Hossain, Obed McCoy.

India (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilk Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Sanju Samson (wk), Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mukes Kumar.

Hardik Pandya: We’ll bat first, and I don’t think much will change. The boys came in very well, they were enthusiastic, and at the same time, they realized that they had to show something more. Everyone contributed, the bowlers did their job, and then Tilk and Surya came and closed the game with the bat. Yes, that’s the team. Our spinners have the ability to take wickets like that, they’re aggressive with their intent, which I like. For us, we keep things simple and we don’t let the intensity drop.

Rovman Powell: We’ll bat first, the surface looks good, we want to put some runs on the board and try to defend it. I think this is an opportunity for us to win a series against a big team like India and the guys are excited about it. Jason Holder is under, Shai Hope comes in for Charles Johnson, and Obed Smith comes in for Roston Chase.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first.

Talking about the dimensions of the ground, behind me it’s 65 meters, opposite to that it’s 67 meters, and under the ground, it’s 70 meters. The pitch is looking beautiful, no grass on the surface but good shine in it. The average score on this ground is 165. Samuel Badree said in his pitch report that we are ready for a high-scoring game.

On the other hand, West Indies has the opportunity to win the series by winning today’s match. They defeated South Africa 2-1 in their last T20 series in March this year. If they are able to win this series, it will be their first back-to-back T20I series win since 2017. Talking about their playing eleven, if Jason Holder is fit, he might replace Roston Chase. Will they consider bringing in Shai Hope for Charles Johnson due to his poor form? The host team’s record against India in Lauderhill has been poor, with four losses, one win, and one match abandoned. The pitches here are usually conducive for stroke play, and a high-scoring affair can be expected. Stay tuned for the toss and team lineups…

After a month-long tour of the Caribbean, where the results have been mixed, the caravan has now moved toward Lauderhill in the United States for the last two matches. Often the engine of the entrants gets damaged in the leg of the white-ball wicket, which is partially due to their big visual focus and result-oriented use. However, they have shown their true colors when pushed into a corner, like in a crucial ODI in Trinidad or in the third T20I in Guyana just three days ago.
